"Professionally built from a new zero mile 2004 Redline Ion to promote the saturn brand"
Fat lot of good THAT did.

This is basically a Cobalt SS that's perfect for rally. If the reserve price is reasonable (15k$ or so), then this would be an awesome rally/tarmac car to campaign in.

It was the shift knob.

OK who picked this shift knob?

Crack Price. IMO AWD or RWD or the only things needed to rallying.

Buy it and convert any vital components that are proprietary Saturn crap to Cobalt stuff and you've got yourself an awesome oddball rally car!

What's that you said?

That would be the body and dash panel. And the shift knob.

This can go on forever...

Well the body is pretty vital, but there are probably plenty of Ions in scrapyards that you can steal body panels off of if you ever need to. As for the dash it's not that vital.
That damn shift knob though...

So keep everything except the shift knob.
It kills the car.

To be perfectly serious I was thinking of the drivetrain.

Identical to Cobalt SS supercharged.

While the original mini whooped ass and the Fulvia is straight gorgie ..... for 15k, or whatever someone else's comment said, I would much rather be out on a stage in one of these.
or this ....
or this
or this
or this

Oh, no I got you. But it's the damn shift knob, isn't it?

Yupp, definitely not the fact its a Saturn Ion ..... its thats damn shift knob.
![]() 10/28/2013 at 19:09 |

That's what I'd like to believe, but I'm afraid some Saturn might have gotten in there.

This is early 2000's GM we're talking here. Nothing was proprietary.

For once, at least.
